Post Suspected z-index issue
Hi All,

Firstly, love the PIE <3.

I've been playing around with it for a few days now and it's great and quite intuitive, unlike any information regarding the z-index css item.
I have the website I've built for a client working perfectly in Safari / Chrome (shock horror.) but Firefox and IE, although displaying the pages almost perfectly, are un-interactable. I think what's happening is the nav / buttons are being covered by an invisible layer. I've tried every damn combination under the sun of position: relative; and z-index: -1; for HTML hierarchical item but nothing seems to be working.

Beyond Limits Org Uk is the site, any help would be very gratefully received.

Cheers
Nik

I don't quite understand the problem... trying your page in IE and Firefox, everything seems to be interactive as in you can click on things. Can you clarify?

I have tried:

IE 5.5 - 7 the website views alright, but is uniteractable, I can't click links or buttons.
IE 8 everythings looking alright and I can click links and buttons.

Firefox 3.6.10 - the website views alright, but is uniteractable, I can't click links or buttons. When I use firebug to inspect any element, it's coming up as;

I've tried this on 4 different computers, on 4 different internet connections; same result.

Safari / Chrome / Opera - all work as intended.

Jason, thanks for your time.

The problem seems to be the z-index:-1 on body and #container in BeyondStyle.css. Not sure what you're trying to accomplish with that, but it has the effect of making things unresponsive to mouse events in some browsers.

This seems unrelated to PIE.

Ok, well theres nothing I can say in my defence of this rediculous mistake. Thought I'd gotten rid of all of those!

Unsurprisingly, it's perfect (y)

Cheers Jason, much appreciated!
