After a somewhat gruesome debug session, I found out why PIE was refusing to round the corners of some of my A elements: they had a background style with the !important flag.
The flag had been put there to override a default stylesheet from the site theme. After taking away the !important flag and replacing it with some more fine-grained CSS, PIE started correctly rounding the corners to those elements.
I haven't looked into it enough to tell whether it's a bug in PIE or in IE, I just thought I'd mention it, so that it can be added to the Knokn Issues page.
