Post No linear gradient in IE9
Here is the site - the menu div and sidebar widget headers should be showing the gradient, but aren't:

http://www.redkitecreative.com/projects/allstar/about/

I've tried both adding the AddType text/x-component .htc to .htaccess and using PIE.php instead of PIE.htc. This is my CSS:

Code:
#primary-menu div.menu, h3.widget-title {
   background: #5f92cc; /* Old browsers */
   background: -moz-linear-gradient(top, #5f92cc 1%, #2c6ec3 99%); /* FF3.6+ */
   background: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, color-stop(1%,#5f92cc), color-stop(99%,#2c6ec3)); /* Chrome,Safari4+ */
   background: -webkit-linear-gradient(top, #5f92cc 1%,#2c6ec3 99%); /* Chrome10+,Safari5.1+ */
   background: -o-linear-gradient(top, #5f92cc 1%,#2c6ec3 99%); /* Opera 11.10+ */
   background: -ms-linear-gradient(top, #5f92cc 1%,#2c6ec3 99%); /* IE10+ */
   background: linear-gradient(to bottom, #5f92cc 1%,#2c6ec3 99%); /* W3C */
   -pie-background: linear-gradient(#5f92cc, #2c6ec3); /*PIE*/
   behavior: url(/PIE.php);
}

I know the path is correct as other items in my conditional CSS file are working fine with PIE. Please show me the error of my ways.

My website is also behaving similarly. Everything looks fine in the code, and yet, IE9 is not showing the gradient. I added the content-type to my .htaccess file and still, no cigar.

http://www.accgt.org/ (The buttons should display a gradient)

I hope there is some similarity between our two sites, so someone can figure out why our gradients aren't working in IE9. Thanks!

My CSS code:

Code:
.button {
  -moz-box-shadow: 0 1px 3px rgba(000,000,000,0.5), inset 0 0 1px rgba(255,255,255,0.5);
  -webkit-box-shadow: 0 1px 3px rgba(000,000,000,0.5), inset 0 0 1px rgba(255,255,255,0.5);
  box-shadow: 0 1px 3px rgba(000,000,000,0.5), inset 0 0 1px rgba(255,255,255,0.5);
  text-shadow: 0 -1px 0px rgba(000,000,000,0.7), 0 1px 0px rgba(255,255,255,0.3);
  background: #8C6941;
  background: -webkit-linear-gradient(top, #663300 0%, #996633 100%);
  background: -o-linear-gradient(top, #663300 0%, #996633 100%);
  background: -ms-linear-gradient(top, #663300 0%, #996633 100%);
  background: -moz-linear-gradient(top, #663300 0%, #996633 100%);
  background: linear-gradient(top, #663300 0%, #996633 100%);
  -pie-background: linear-gradient(top, #663300 0%, #996633 100%);
  -webkit-border-radius: 10px;
  -moz-border-radius: 10px;
  border-radius: 10px;
  behavior: url(/js/PIE.htc);
  font: bold 14px Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
  border: 1px solid #996633;
  margin-right: 10px;
  cursor: pointer;
  padding: 6px 20px;
  color: #fff;
}

Not sure if this info might help, but the gradients are working fine in IE8 for http://www.redkitecreative.com/projects/allstar/about/

Do you actually have IE8 installed? Are you viewing IE8 on a different machine? IE9's IE8 browser mode isn't very reliable.

I'm using IE Tester, the gradients are working in both IE8 and IE7 in there. Gradients are working in IE8 mode using IE9 too.

That's very unusual. Are my button gradients also working in IE Tester for you?

No, I can't see the gradients on your site buttons in IE8/7 in IE Tester, or in IE9. Can't see them in IE8 mode in IE9 either. Weird.

You are using PIE version 1.0beta3, which is *very* old and did not include IE9 support. Please update and check back if you still have issues.

Thanks for the response.

I've replaced PIE.htc with the version from 1.0.0, and now the PIE effects aren't working in IE8 or IE9.

Can you see the gradients in the menu and widget headers in IE9 now? I can't even after clearing the caches.

http://www.cleaningallstars.com/house-c ... rtificates

This is my IE9 code (I'd pared it down to only the necessary items after my first post):

Code:
input.button:hover, input#submit:hover, div.infusion-submit button:hover {
   -pie-background: linear-gradient(#5fc8dd, #3b7c89); /*PIE*/
   behavior: url(/PIE.htc);
}
#primary-menu div.menu, h3.widget-title {
   -pie-background: linear-gradient(#5f92cc, #2c6ec3); /*PIE*/
   behavior: url(/PIE.htc);
}
#primary .widget .textwidget form.infusion-form .infusion-submit button {
   -pie-background: linear-gradient(#58b9ce, #428c9b); /*PIE*/
   behavior: url(/PIE.htc);
}

I tried changing from a relative to absolute link to PIE.htc, no change.
