Post PIE not applying to links
I have applied round corners to certain links in website. But it is not applying in IE8.
The issue is, round corner works with input elements(Buttons, textbox etc..) but not with ul li a

You can see the preview in following url. Works in browsers other than IE.

Here is the css, where styles are not taking part.

Code:
#linkHolder ul li a {
   padding:10px 20px 10px 20px;
   border-radius:15px 15px 0px 0px;
   -moz-border-radius:15px 15px 0px 0px;
   -webkit-border-radius:15px 15px 0px 0px;
   -khtml-border-radius:15px 15px 0px 0px;
   -o-border-radius:15px 15px 0px 0px;
   behavior: url(PIE.htc);
   background:#52a6ca !important;
}

Looking forward for a help on where the issue will be.

Thanks,
sk

Post Re: PIE not applying to links
Having read through many of the posts in this forum looking for an answer to my own problem, one specific word in there caught my attention:
Code:
!important
(applied to background). I'm not entirely sure as to why, but think it has something to do with PIE rendering its own background, and the !important keyword then overrides that, crippling PIE's efforts. Might wanna try and remove it and instead use
Code:
-pie-background
to ensure PIE is in charge of the rendering.

Hi Ulken,

It worked well. But while i am not using !important against each background the links have transparent bg,

Now how can i fix both together. unfortunately -pie-background did not work.

How can i fix both now?

Regards
sk

PIE got into action now. But when i hover/out the links, it renders very bad in IE.

It is not as fast as in FF.

Hum, strange. When I first tested your site in IE8, I didn't notice what you talked about – it seemed to work fine/fast. A difference I noticed from viewing it in a webkit browser though, was that the tab was not enlarged (the height didn't increase). Looking closer in IE, in fact it did grow taller, but it was misplaced, and instead expanded downwards.

I'm afraid I'm not skilled/familiar with PIE enough to help you track down what's going on though...
