Post PIE generating lots of errors in IE7
When I load the css3pie.com home page in IE7 about 16 script errors are generated:
Line 67: attribute only valid v:image

If I use the script on my own page, I get similar behaviour.

Does anybody know what might be the problem?

NB: Using Windows XP.

Strange. Can you help me debug a little bit:

1) What is the exact version string of the IE build you are using?
2) On your own page, use the PIE_uncompressed.htc instead of PIE.htc and then, assuming you still get the errors, tell me what line number it says?

Post Re: PIE generating lots of errors in IE7
Sorry - long message - summary at end:

IE7 version: 7.0.5730.13

I've applied the uncompressed htc:

Line: 2731
Error: attribute only valid on v:image.

I've tidied up the style sheet and no longer getting the errors reliably.

However, I'm now back to the problem that started me off on this track.

I've achieved rounded corners for boxes and buttons.
border-radius: 2em;

I've achieved rounded corners for the top only of the wrapper (which has a shadow but is not otherwise visible)
border-radius: 3em 3em 0 0 / 3em 3em 0 0;

But I can't achieve rounded corners for the header which sits inside the wrapper.
border-radius: 3em 3em 0 0 / 3em 3em 0 0;

So I finish up with a square cornered heading that appears to have a rounded shadow.

I've been through your "known issues" and I've set "position: relative" for both wrapper and header. I've given both a z-index: 2 for wrapper and 3 for header.

It was at that point that I decided to go back to basics. Couldn't find validators for HTML5/CSS3 that didn't generate lots of errors that looked spurious to me. Went back to your site in IE7 and remembered it was generating errors - I was getting the same error with my page (same line, same message). It was at that point that I gave up and posted to your forum.

Now - I can force the error sometimes by changing the header z-index from 3 to 30. I tried copying and pasting the wrapper shadow into the header - the first time I did that it generated several errors - all the same as before - the second time, no errors. And it doesn't fix the lack of rounded corners.

SUMMARY
My page is no longer generating errors reliably.
Original problem - can't achieve rounded corners on header but can achieve same effect on wrapper (giving the appearance of a square header with a rounded shadow). I've been through the known issues, applied some fixes but still have the problem.

Any ideas?

With thanks and best wishes

If you can post either a link or a code snippet demonstrating your issue with rounding corners on the header, then someone can help you troubleshoot that. That sort of use case should work just fine.

I'm very concerned about the errors however, as I'm running the exact same version of IE7 on XP and I've never seen that particular error, and definitely not on the css3pie.com site -- I have to think that if the site were throwing errors that lots of people would have complained about it... so I wonder what the difference is with your system. Any info you can give about the setup of your system (exact XP version, etc.) would be helpful.

My OS: Windows XP Professional SP2 (updates up-to-date except for SP3).

If I go to your site in IE7 - home loads OK.

Mouse over Donate button in right bar - 2 errors (always line 67)

Go to About page:
On load - a batch of errors (c 30)
Reload the page - nothing
Reload again - a batch of errors
Mouse over various parts of the page - single error over Donate button

Go Demo - click on link to Tabs demo
No errors
Reload - batch of errors (c 25)
Mouse over Donate button - 2 errors.

Go back to Home page page
No errors on load
Reload - batch of errors
Reload again (several times) do Control+F5 - no errors (except Donate button still generates 2 errors on mouseover).

Hope this helps.

With best wishes

PS: I've tried viewing your site on my laptop (Vista Professional, IE8) - no problems.
