Tips on reliably testing different IEs
http://coding.smashingmagazine.com/2011 ... -explorer/As the topic frequently pops up in the forums, I thought I'd create a topic just to point out this great article.

Re: Smashing Mag. article about reliably testing different I
For those who choose to go the virtual machine route, here is a nice-looking script that facilitates downloading and setting up the IE testing VMs provided by Microsoft, in VirtualBox on Mac or Linux. https://github.com/xdissent/ievmsNote I haven't tried this script myself so I can't comment on its quality, please report back here if you try it.

Here's a new service which just launched: http://www.browserstack.comNot free (there's a short free trial period) but its IE installs do appear to work well with PIE.

Re: Tips on reliably testing different IEs
The script by xdissent works great for me. Is there anything out similar to this that might be more well rounded or offer more by any chance

Thanks, great info. I have needed a solution for a while now and had been doing it the hard way.

Useful for testing on different IE versions.

Re: Tips on reliably testing different IEs
For just viewing (as opposed to fully testing) I always use http://netrenderer.com/ as it allows you to render it in pretty much any IE version. As I use a Mac it's much easier doing it this way for a quick test than to fire up a VM for it... MaFt
