Post Render on server is different than localhost
Hi There,

Maybe somebody will be able to help me.
I am using CSS pie to get rid of my background images. I used the .htc file for my project.
It works perfectly when I run the file straight to IE (9,8,7 and 6).
=> C:\my\path\index.html

However, when I run the file through apache (WAMP), the result is way different. I took care about updating the mime type in my apache conf file
=> http://localhost/my/path/index.html

On IE9, the result looks ok but it's not great. On IE8 & IE7, gaps appear and some border disappear.

I have attached a screenshot.

Also, I notice that when I increase the border by 1px to get (border: 2px solid #ADADAD), the border bottom which was not displayed is now displayed but as a 1px boder

Is anyone has an idea of what happens?

Thanks in advance,

David

Is your browser set to zoom the page on localhost? Does it trigger quirks mode? Is there anything different about the files when served versus when accessed locally?

When I test my file throught Apache, my border-bottom reappear with a 95% zoom. It look fixing a part of the problem but it doesn't really suit me.
Otherwise, I don't think it trigger quirks mode. The result is way different with this mode.
I have attached a sample if you want to have a look.

When I serve the files you attached through a local Apache server I do not see any gaps. It renders correctly.

PIE itself does not (or should not) behave differently based on whether it is served locally or over http. That is why I started asking questions about other things that might be other differences between your two environments. You're going to have to do some detective work and find the difference.

Another possibility:
Is your Apache server doing any sort of rewriting of content, like inserting or removing whitespace?

Ah, sorry, didn't see your last comment. Glad you sorted out that it's a browser issue.
