Crap, this release crashes my install of IE9 every time, not matter what I do. Or rather... doesn't seem to "crash" it so much as hides IE9 instantly from view. Um... weird?

Well that's no good... are you able to reproduce this on other machines? If you could send a sample of code that causes the crashing for you, and give all the info about your particular browser setup that you can think of (exact ie version, os and service pack, any installed extensions, etc.) that would be great.

Is there a IE9-only version?

Post Re: Testing build with IE9 linear-gradient support
Hi,

I'm really struggling getting gradients working in IE9. I've cut my code down to something very basic and it still doesn't work:

http://edgroup.vertouk.com/test.htm

I've checked the headers and my .htc file is being served up with the correct MIME type, but still no gradient. Works find in earlier versions of IE and I'm using the version of PIE.htc from this thread.

Help!!

@youngpip:

Code:
#welcomeBox {
   width: 467px;
   height: 210px;
   background: #E3E4E6;
   background: -webkit-gradient(linear, 0 0, 0 bottom, from(#E3E4E6), to(#FFFFFF));
   background: -webkit-linear-gradient(#E3E4E6, #FFFFFF);
   background: -moz-linear-gradient(#E3E4E6, #FFFFFF);
   background: -ms-linear-gradient(#E3E4E6, #FFFFFF);
   background: -o-linear-gradient(#E3E4E6, #FFFFFF);
   background: linear-gradient(#E3E4E6, #FFFFFF);-
   pie-background: linear-gradient(#E3E4E6, #FFFFFF);
   behavior: url(/styles/PIE.htc);
}

The leading dash for the -pie-background property is incorrectly on the previous line. This would likely work in IE6 but not later versions.

Thanks Jason, I had stared and stared at that code and couldn't figure it out! I'm sure I had it that way to begin with, but it must have changed whilst testing other bits of code. I can sleep soundly now :-)

does your server send .htc files as the correct mime type?

I added the line AddType text/x-component .htc in my .htaccess but this doesn't work...
