I still can't get IE9 gradient to work in beta5.

@EasyProWebTools: when I try to access your fix-pie.php file, its contents are an error message. Are you sure the htc file is there for the php file to access?

Great, works very nicely in preliminary tests.

I'm noticing one issue after some preliminary testing -- elements with linear-gradients that are initially hidden and then toggled to a visible state don't seem to render the gradient until after you mouse over their containing element (not necessarily the element itself). The other effects (in this case, border-radius and box-shadow) seem to render properly, just not the gradient.

I've tried various combinations of -pie-watch-ancestors and position: relative hacks but they don't seem to help. Could be I'm doing something wrong, here's a screenshot for instance (this is in my dev environment, IE 9.0.8112.16421 on Windows 7 SP1):

Aside from that, I haven't noticed any other issues. Great job so far!

Sorry, my fault. somehow the extension on the htc file got dropped.
it actually works great.
also, using the php file for content type, I decided to place my htc file on another domain and that works fine also.
I manage over 200 websites and it will suck going through and switching them all to use the php file because of the need for the content type, but as I do this, I can set the php files to grab the htc from one location, so with every future update, I just need to update the one htc file and all my sites will be updated.
hope this idea of a centralized htc file helps someone else too.

@nickb: Thanks very much for finding that bug, that's exactly the sort of thing I was hoping this process would uncover. I'm attaching a new build below which contains a workaround (turns on -pie-poll for IE9 by default), let me know if that does not fix your case.

@janis: Your link is not responding so I can't investigate. I assume you've already checked the content-type issue that others have run into in this thread?
