Post AJAX elements + PIE
Does PIE work with page elements created using AJAX?

Yes it should. If an element is inserted into the DOM dynamically, and it matches a CSS rule with the PIE.htc behavior defined, it will automatically get hooked up.

I can attest that it works on dynamically generated DOM elements (including AJAX and hidden elements) where other solutions fail (like DD_roundies). PIE is also the most elegant solution to the problem as it keeps the styling in the CSS.

My company has been basically forced to write-off all CSS3 because of IE's lack of support (we're trying to shake off supporting IE6 still). This will save a lot of time and bandwidth making all those images for rounded corners and gradients. A very welcome addition indeed. I'm surprised a solution like this wasn't thought of sooner. Thanks Jason!

are you sure it works? I have a page that updates part of the elements every 10 seconds, and css3pie causes errors.

http://onetotheworld.com/sq/1?cell=false

you see the alerts when it reloads, and the the css3 goes away. I have a development version that only updates the bar's length and the % number, and it still causes errors in IE. I tested and get the errors in IE8

Help would be great, without fixing this we will most likely have to drop css3pie :(

sometimes, the css3 is ok the first time around, but it eventually degrades into squares and flat colors.

In fact, it was -- there has been a rounded HTC-based corners hack available for some time (http://www.htmlremix.com/), which I've used extensively in the past. I also wrote my own one some time ago (though I used corner graphics, as I didn't know about VML at the time).

However, the htmlremix script has a load of shortcomings; CSS3Pie is a *far* *far* superior script. So yes, I can agree with your sentiment -- Many many thanks Jason!!!
