Suggestion: CSS3 Columns.
CSS3 has the ability to divide the contents of a box into columns (complete with divider lines) - something which was notoriously tricky to get right in CSS2 becomes ridiculously easy in CSS3.
It would be great to be able to use this feature. Of course IE doesn't do it, but it strikes me as the sort of thing that could be scripted [relatively!] easily in CSS PIE.
CSS Columns is currently supported by Firefox, Safari and Chrome (all with vendor prefixes). Not by Opera or Explorer.
for a demo.
