what's about IE 10 support in general or to be more specific what's about the 'border-image' in IE 10? If you check this example with IE 10 you see that the 'border-image' does not work. Is this just because IE 10 is not supported at all or because the workaround for IE 9 can not be adopted to IE 10?

Thanks for asking, you're the first to bring up IE10 support.

I had been hoping that Microsoft would implement border-image natively in IE10 and that PIE would therefore be completely obsolete. That didn't pan out obviously.

And that's left PIE in a tough situation, because they also chose to completely remove support for .htc behaviors in IE10. So there's no chance of PIE working at all in IE10, unless you go with the PIE.js approach which has significant disadvantages.

The only thing I can think to do would be to create a completely separate PIE_IE10,js that includes only border-image support and tries to work around those disadvantages using modern APIs. My sense is that border-image is one of the most infrequently used PIE features, so this doesn't sit very high on the priority list at the moment.

this is very sad to hear, I am also using the border-image feature of pie, I hope the PEI_IE10 js of this gets supported in the future as well.
