I ran across a bug... and solved it myself! YEY ME!
When using border:1px solid red !important; with border radius, it leaves the square border with original background fill (I was using background gradient as well but could see the flat color between the border and rounded corners). Ends up it was the !important, which luckily I didn't actually need here. Just thought I'd make you aware!
I will be donating when I have some money as well... This thing is AMAZING. I have a very slick site coming out soon using PIE extensively, I'll post it when it's finished. Was originally using tons of images, this made things so much better!!!

Thanks, the !important thing is a known issue. I don't think there's a way to avoid it unfortunately.
