Thanks for the advice but some of the elements that use the ie behavior are set to position:relative allready but don't seem to work.

Is there an easy way to check if the path is correct?

I tested the fix for two different elements (".content_frame" and ".content_box input") and both work now. I'll repair the rest and give you another round of applause when I'm done testing. ^^

Wait a sec, I'm not following this... are you saying that the order in which the style properties are declared makes a difference? This should not be the case. Can you provide a testcase that shows this?

Well, I did put a testcase together and it seems like this was not the reason for the bug.

the second submit button has position:relative as the last value and still works.


I'm going to try and fix the other places where the bug occurs and tell you about it and my findings then.

Ok, I'll try to sum it up. (by the way, thanks for the help so far)

In some places the "position:relative" was missing. I checked the IE after changing something in the site structure (sub folders etc), saw the missing properties and thought that I caused the error. I tried to fix the path and must have broken it instead due to caching issues, multiple changes and a good bit of last minute panic.

The result was that all the other css3 features stopped working and I freaked out.


In the process of fixing the position:relative issue (and the order that did not cause the problem!) I changed the path again for the testing environment and thereby fixed the path issue.



It's working now with one little exception...

IE7: - all the input helper elements from the PIE are stacked in the upper left corner
