Post subject:  PIE only works locally

Hey guy, i'm a bit of an amateur when it comes to web design. Normally after reading over forums for hours i manage to fix the problem but i'm stuck with this.

When i run the site locally in IE it asks me to allow ActiveX scripts but once i do it works fine. However, when i uploaded it doesn't seem to pick the script up at all.

I upload everything into the same folder, the folder contains: home.html, PIE.htc, PIE.php (css is in another folder, is that a problem?)

My css properties contain: behavior: url(PIE.htc); - i've tried PIE.php as well as /PIE.htc etc without success..

As i said earlier, i'm still learning CSS so i'm not sure if has something to do with the z-index property, the path, or something else.

Thanks.

Oh, by the way.

The bar up the top/bottom with a white border should have a linear background/rounded corners.

The light grey background behind the qjuery stuff should be a linear background.

The white content boxes should have rounded borders.

Thanks.

Wow 4 years and no reply? Sorry to bump but..

I'm having the same problem, practically.. PIE works locally, but online, in IE8 (XP VM), it isn't working as well; background image on a rounded corner DIV is semi-transparent in IE8 (online) but fine, opaque, when run locally.

Modern browsers are not showing a problem online or offline.

Any help much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Update: problem only visible when scaling above 100% ... I have a 1px slice gif background and when I scale above 100%, in IE8 online, it is showing small gaps between each strip giving a translucent effect. Still, strange that the problem does not appear locally.
