I have read up as couple of times and still am not able to figure out why the round corners on my drop down are not functioning. Can anyone lend a hand in figuring what I missed?

The menu is addressed with position and zfactor at a higher level than my rounded corners are being addressed. I don't know how that affects things.

Sometimes, reading parameters up front is the perfect solution. Sometimes, context is needed to grasp what you read. Thanks for the help. I get it now.
